Which Type of Bathroom Faucet Is Right for You?

Choosing the right bathroom faucets is not difficult if you know what you need and you take your time. You have to remember that the most important thing is that you choose a faucet that suits your bathroom well and yet is not very expensive. You should also look at the design factor as well as the compatibility with other faucet fixtures you have.

Single-hole Bathroom Faucets are usually made with single holes and come with single handles which are usually 4 inches in length. Some double-hole faucet fixtures may even have two handles attached to a 6-inch-wide plate. Spout-type faucet fixtures are commonly found on bathroom sinks. The spouts normally extend up to the ceiling and the outermost hole is a single cutout that allows easy drainage of the water. Common designs include the drop spout and the one-handled spout. There are also wall-mounted faucets that fit into holes drilled into the wall.

These types have three holes - one for the spout, one for the drain, and another hole for the wall mount spout. Handles for faucet fixtures are available in different materials like brass, porcelain, chrome, nickel, and stainless steel. Chrome and brass handle look contemporary and are usually used with chrome bathroom vanity units. Porcelain handles are relatively expensive and can be difficult to maintain. Handles that are nickel-plated are also very beautiful but difficult to keep polished and shiny.

When choosing a handle, you should consider how often you are going to use it. You must choose durable fixtures when planning your bathroom design. Choose fixtures that come with a guarantee period of at least one year. Also, consider shopping with a company that offers maintenance service along with the purchase.
